Darts Introduction
The simplest and the most popular games of darts are so called 01 games - the classic games of Darts, played world-wide. They include the professional 501 and its scoring variations like 301, 601, 801, 1001 Darts. In fact all these games are played from a certain number of points, always ending in "01". For example, the common tournament game of 501 is played from 501 points. Other variations are 301, 601, 801, 1001. The higher point games are usually played by teams.
Darts game
In Rubl.com online Darts you can play 501 Darts game in so-called Arcade tournaments.
A player starts with a score of 501 and takes turns to throw 3 darts. The score for each turn is calculated and deducted from the players total. Bullseye scores 50, the outer ring scores 25 and a dart in the double or treble ring counts double or treble the segment score. The objective is to be the first player (to use a minimal number of turns) to reduce the score to exactly zero with the shortest time. A standard rule, that the last dart thrown must land in a double or the bullseye is not applied.
Going out
Just for information about this Darts going-out rule: the dart that brings the score down to zero must be a double. Doubles consist of the numbers in the outside narrow scoring band and the center (small) bullseye. If a player reduces the score to 1 or goes below zero, the score is bust, that turn ends immediately and the score is returned to what it was at the start of that turn. For example if a player has 32 to go out and the first dart is a 16, the second is a 15, the player is bust and the score is returned to 32. So on the last turn, it is not necessary to throw all 3 darts - a player can win with the first or second dart of the turn.
But one more time - at Rubl.com Darts you don't need to double the last throw to go out of the game
Scoring
There is a special scoring system implemented in Rubl.com darts to obtain a cumulative final score in online arcade Darts tournament including not finished games:
Current Score = (501 - points) * 2 - 5 * dartsUsed
In the above formula:
points are the final points on the blackboard (the best number is zero - completed game)
dartsUsed - the number of darts used in game
Time Bonus
If points left <= 20, Time Bonus equals the number of seconds left
If points left <= 100, Time Bonus equals the number of seconds left / 2
